About the Hotline

BASF is strictly committed to high standards of legal compliance and business ethics. Based on international standards, BASF’s Compliance Program combines important laws and company policies with voluntary commitments to define the boundaries within which we as BASF employees must act. Each of us is personally responsible to abide by the standards set by our Code of Conduct, the company policies as well as applicable local laws.

It is essential that we all feel free and comfortable in approaching our supervisors, management, Human Resources or the Legal and Compliance Team to ask questions or raise concerns. However hard it may be we must speak up in a timely manner when we become aware of an ethics or compliance concern.

Our Compliance Hotline also offers an opportunity to raise concerns confidentially and even anonymously. The Hotline is operated by NAVEX, an external administrator of telephone and Web-based hotline services, because using an external provider helps to provide confidentiality. A toll-free telephone number option or a Web site option can be used for filing reports. The Hotline is available to all BASF employees, as well as third-parties.

See the FAQ’s for more information.

Non-Retaliation

BASF does not tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith any observed, or suspected, illegal or unethical behavior, or Code-related policy violations.
