Reporting – Security and Confidentiality
What is EthicsPoint?
- EthicsPoint is a comprehensive and confidential reporting tool created by NAVEX to maintain the highest standards of security and confidentiality for those who need to report a concern, either confidentially or anonymously.
Where will my report go and who has access to it?
- All reports (made online or by telephone) are entered directly onto the EthicsPoint secure server. NAVEX then shares (securely) the reports with specific individuals in Group Conduct Investigations who are responsible for managing Speak Up concerns.
Can I report my concern securely online using a work computer without being identified?
- Yes. Neither NAVEX nor LBG generates internal connection logs with IP addresses to link personal computers to EthicsPoint. You can report your concerns using your home computer or mobile device, if you prefer.
Is the telephone line confidential and anonymous too?
- Yes. You will be asked to provide the same information that you would provide in an Online report. A NAVEX Telephony Adviser will then type your responses into the EthicsPoint system. These reports have the same security and confidentiality measures applied to them.
What if I want to be identified with my report?
- There is a section in the report to identify yourself, if you wish. This means specific individuals in Group Conduct Investigations team (GCI) will know your identity. This is often helpful as GCI can ask further questions that will support them when investigating your concerns.
Keeping in touch
What if I remember something important after reporting my concern or Group Conduct Investigations need to speak to me?
- When you report a concern Online or through the NAVEX telephone line, EthicsPoint generates a unique, randomized number called a ‘Report Key’ and you will be asked to choose a password. You can return to EthicsPoint again to access your original report and add more detail or answer questions from Group Conduct Investigations. This is accessed through the ‘Follow Up’ tile on the EthicsPoint homepage. Alternatively, you can call back by telephone, and a NAVEX Telephony Adviser will assist you with any updates.
What if I lose my Report Key or forget the password I created?
- To ensure that security and confidentiality is maintained, if you lose your Report Key or password, you will need to file a new report. Mention in the new report that it is related to a report or question you previously submitted.
