WHAT IF THE OPEN LINE PHONE NUMBER IS NOT WORKING?

If the telephone number listed is not working you can file your report online through this website. Please state in the report that the telephone number did not work.

I AM NOT SURE IF WHAT I OBSERVED OR HEARD IS A VIOLATION OF THE CODE OF CONDUCT OR IF THE BEHAVIOR IS ACTUALLY AN UNETHICAL CONDUCT. SHOULD I STILL REPORT IT?

You don’t need to be sure about a violation. We want to hear about all concerns in connection with possible wrongdoing or unethical behavior that are made in good faith so that we can follow up and assess it properly.

WHO IS NORMALLY INVOLVED IN THE HANDLING OF A CONCERN?

Concerns voiced over Open Line are automatically assigned to the respective Case Manager in charge, such as

  • by default the Concern is assigned at “global level” to the global Compliance Team
  • in EU: acc. to the EU Whistleblowing Directive it is ensured for European Avolta entities with >250 team members, that reporting persons can chose, if their Report is handled at “local” or at “global level”. If “local level” is chosen, the Report is assigned to a competent local Compliance Ambassador.
  • The Case Manager may involve competent persons/functions (“Experts”) depending on the content of the Concern.

CAN CONCERNS BE REPORTED ANONYMOUSLY?

When using Open Line you can choose if you want to disclose your identity or report anonymously, unless not permitted by local law.

The provider of the Tool does not generate or maintain any internal connection logs with IP addresses. There is therefore no information available to link the device (Laptop, Tablet, Mobile Phone, etc.) you are using for a report through Open Line. In addition, Avolta takes all legally possible measures to keep the identity confidential at all times of the process. Reporting Persons can refuse to answer questions which they feel could reveal their identity.

AM I PROTECTED AGAINST RETALIATION WHEN SPEAKING UP?

Avolta has a retaliation-free whistleblowing policy. Reporting persons must not suffer any detrimental treatment as a result of raising a concern. Detrimental treatment includes dismissal, disciplinary action, threats or other unfavourable treatment including harassment on the job or workplace bullying. Retaliation of persons who speak up in good faith is subject to disciplinary action.
