The Haier Compliance Hotline is a telephone and web-based system used to give people the opportunity to report their concerns about suspected administrative, civil, or criminal accounting offences, offences falling within the scope of relevant EU or national acts, offenses relating to public procurement, services, products and financial markets, prevention of money laundering, product safety and compliance, transport safety, environmental protection, food and feed safety, animal health and welfare, public health, consumer protection (antitrust), life protection and personal data protection, network, and information system security, violations of corporate tax laws, where it is believed that activities are being carried out that are likely to adversely affect the reporting person, colleagues and/or the company. Through the website it is also possible to report violations or suspected violations of the Organization, Management and Control Models pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 231/2001 as well as violations of the Code of Ethics and the ESG Business Code of Conduct.
In order to maintain confidentiality, the Hotline is managed by EthicsPoint, a leading independent provider of business ethics and compliance programs and helplines. EthicsPoint's independence from Haier is designed to provide employees with greater peace of mind that their reports will remain confidential. Online reports made on this website will initially be sent to EthicsPoint and then promptly forwarded to the dedicated function at Haier Group Headquarters to initiate checks and investigations. Online reports of violations or suspected violations of the Organizational, Management and Control Models pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 231/2001, violations of the Code of Ethics and the ESG Business Code of Conduct, will be forwarded to the competent Supervisory Body. Calls to the Haier Compliance Hotline are free of charge, are answered by a Call Centre managed by EthicsPoint and are then forwarded to the dedicated function. EthicsPoint offers secure and confidential services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is not possible to make reports by telephone on violations or suspected violations of the organization, management and control models referred to in Legislative Decree No. 231/2001.
Without prejudice to the possibility of making reports of violations or suspected violations of the Models of Organization, Management and Control referred to in Legislative Decree no. 231/2001, violations of the Code of Ethics and the ESG Business Code of Conduct, please note that the Haier Compliance Hotline should not be used to report incidents other than inappropriate conduct relating to suspected cases of fraud, discrimination/harassment or suspected violations of labor regulations, where local laws permit this. For concerns regarding circumstances other than those outlined here, we recommend that you send a report to your local management.
