It's up to all of us to make sure that we act with integrity, as individuals and as a company. At times, however, you can be unsure about the right thing to do.
Maybe you suspect that a colleague is behaving wrongly, but find it difficult to raise the issue at work. Maybe you are under pressure to act in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, and would welcome some confidential and independent advice.
The Compliance Helpline, externally hosted and available 24/7, online or by phone, has been designed for situations like these.
If you see or hear something suspicious, it is your responsibility to speak up.
You may not be 100% sure but that's no excuse to do nothing. If your suspicions are right, choosing to ignore them can only damage the company and our reputation.
Please do not hesitate. By contacting the Compliance Helpline, you can be sure that your concerns will be taken seriously and treated sensitively.
The Compliance Helpline is provided by an independent third party.
Your first point of contact will be with someone outside Syngenta. They will pass on your report to the Compliance Team who will decide if your concern is legitimate and whether a full investigation is appropriate.
If further action is required, your confidentiality will be respected where possible. The identity of anyone reporting an issue is only revealed if it becomes impossible to examine the case fully without doing so.
If you suspect a possible breach of Syngenta's Code of Conduct, or have a question, the first step is to talk to your Line Manager, your Compliance Officer or a representative from HR or Legal. However if you don’t feel comfortable doing this, or are unsure what to do, you can contact the Helpline, online or by phone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Details will be passed on to Syngenta's Compliance Team who will determine if your concern is justified. It's then up to them to ensure that any case is thoroughly and fairly investigated and further action taken if appropriate.

In compliance with EU Whistleblowing Directive 2019/1937 of 23 October 2019, Syngenta maintains additional local reporting channels for member states where it is required by law. These channels are email-based and are administered by an impartial Local Channel Operator (“LCO”) in local language.
