What is the Just Eat Takeaway.com ('JET') Speak Up program?

˅

The JET Speak Up program consists of a website and a toll-free telephone line which allows you to raise concerns about potential violations of our Code of Conduct and related policies, with the option to remain anonymous if you wish to do so. This service is available to everyone - employees, contractors, customers, and members of public - providing a confidential way to voice concerns. Employees may raise concerns directly with their line manager, however, they may prefer to use Speak Up when they feel uncomfortable raising an issue through other channels.

The toll-free telephone lines are available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week / 365 days a year. You can also report a alleged misconduct by completing the online form on this website. Provided you raise your concerns in good faith, you can use JET Speak Up with full confidence that you will be protected from retaliation or disciplinary consequences.

Why does JET have a Speak Up program?

˅

At JET we are committed to conducting our business with integrity. We are committed to operating responsibly and in full compliance with local laws and regulations. Our framework of policies, including our Code of Conduct, guides every decision we make. Yet this does not always prevent situations that do not comply with our organization's policies and procedures, or with the law.

That is why JET maintains the Speak Up Program, a dedicated channel for reporting alleged misconduct. JET Speak Up provides employees, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders with a trusted point of contact to raise their concerns. When people speak up, they help JET to fulfil its commitment to being a responsible employer and business partner. JET encourages everyone to voice their concerns and we guarantee protection from retaliation for those who do so in good faith.

Who operates the JET Speak Up hotline?

˅

JET Speak Up is operated by an independent external organization, called NAVEX (www.navex.com). NAVEX is a specialist third-party provider of ethics and compliance programs. This independent structure guarantees maximum confidentiality, as all reports are stored on a secure database completely separate from JET's environment.

NAVEX receives reports from individuals and JET will follow-up and/or investigates. All follow-ups and/or investigations are performed and concluded by JET's dedicated ethics and compliance teams, and trained professionals from Risk, Legal, HR, and other relevant departments, all of whom are bound by strict confidentiality obligations.

NAVEX's key responsibilities include:

  • providing telephone and web-based reporting channels for concerns about the business conduct of JET employees, customers, suppliers, or other stakeholders;
  • safeguarding the identity of reporters who choose to remain anonymous;
  • offering multilingual telephone support so that reporters can communicate in their preferred language;
  • sending information about the concern to JET so that it can be followed up effectively;
  • enabling JET to communicate with an anonymous reporter by acting as an intermediary to relay follow-up questions and answers as well as information about the resolution of the case.

It is important to note that NAVEX does not investigate or resolve concerns, this responsibility lies solely with JET.

Who can contact the JET Speak Up hotline?

˅

Anyone, whether internal or external to JET, can submit a report to JET's Speak Up hotline, either via telephone or via the internet.

How do I submit a concern?

˅

You can contact JET's Speak Up hotline at any time through the website jet.ethicspoint.com, or by calling the toll-free telephone number for your region.

On which topics can I file a report?

˅

You can submit a report about any concern relating to compliance with our policies and standards, including but not limited to:

  • Environment, Health & Safety – such as substance abuse, unsafe working conditions, or improper disposal of hazardous materials
  • Potential fraudulent behaviour – such as bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, falsification of records, or misappropriation of assets
  • Human Resources – such as forced labour, discrimination, harassment, or concerns about employee development
  • Information Technology – such as data protection breaches, misuse of information and communication systems, violations of email policies, or abuse of IT resources
  • Legal compliance – such as sanctions violations, antitrust concerns, or healthcare compliance issues
  • Procurement – such as improper conduct by suppliers or concerns about supplier relationships
  • Workplace behaviour - such as aggression or physical abuse.

Are there any legal restrictions on who can file a report?

˅

No. The JET Speak Up program is open to everyone. There are no legal restrictions on who can submit a report.

We welcome concerns from anyone who has information about potential misconduct or violations of our Code of Conduct and related policies. Whether you work for JET, do business with us, or interact with our organisation in any other capacity, you have the right to speak up.

The only requirement is that reports are made in good faith. This means you genuinely believe the information you are providing is true, even if it later turns out to be inaccurate.

Can I submit a report anonymously?

˅

Yes. You can submit a report to JET's Speak Up channel anonymously, provided this is permitted under local law. However, please be aware that anonymous reporting may make it more challenging for us to conduct a thorough investigation.

If you do choose to report anonymously, we encourage you to check back regularly on the Speak Up platform, as the investigation team may post questions or requests for clarification that could help resolve your concern more effectively.

Which personal data and information will be collected and processed?

˅

If you report an alleged misconduct, we record the following personal data and information:

  • Your contact details (optional): if you choose to provide them: your name, telephone number, email address, preferred contact times, and your relationship with JET (employee or non-employee);
  • Information about individuals mentioned in your report: the names and relevant personal data of any persons involved in the alleged misconduct, to the extent you are willing and able to provide this information;
  • Details of the alleged misconduct: including when and where it occurred, the circumstances surrounding it, a description of what happened, the potential impact on the JET entity, and whether management is already aware of the issue.

Please note that providing your contact details is entirely voluntary. For more information on how NAVEX or JET is processing personal data, please read the relevant Privacy Statement.

How exactly will the personal data and information be processed after I have reported an incident and who may access these files?

˅

Reports are entered directly into the EthicsPoint server to ensure maximum security. The database is hosted and operated by NAVEX on behalf of JET, with servers located in Europe. This ensures full compliance with all applicable EU data protection and privacy regulation.

To process your report, conduct investigations, and implement any necessary sanctions, your personal data and information will be transported to the database. From there, it will be shared strictly on a need-to-know basis with the appropriate personnel within JET, specifically our global Ethics & Compliance officers.

Information relating to the alleged breach, including your identity or the identity of other persons involved in an inquiry or investigation, shall only be disclosed to those functions within JET (i.e. the investigator(s) and the relevant Compliance Officer(s)) or outside JET (e.g. forensic auditors and legal counsel) who require this information to ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct and legal or regulatory obligations, or as input for subsequent judicial proceedings.

When I send a report from a company computer it generates a server log, which shows every website to which my PC has connected. Won't this log identify me as the sender of the report?

˅

NAVEX does not generate or maintain any internal connection logs containing IP addresses. This means there is no information that could link your computer to your use of JET's Speak Up hotline. In fact, NAVEX is contractually obligated never to attempt to identify a reporter.

If you prefer not to submit a report from your own computer or at JET, you can access JET's Speak Up website from any device outside the workplace, such as a computer at an internet cafe, the library, or a friend's home.

Any incident you report will remain secure and anonymous. The JET internet portal does not identify visitors by screen name, and the system automatically removes all internet addresses to guarantee complete anonymity. NAVEX is contractually bound not to attempt to identify any reporter.

Can I be retaliated for sending a report?

˅

No. Retaliation against anyone who submits a report in good faith is strictly prohibited by law. JET is committed to protecting all individuals who raise genuine concerns through the Speak Up channel.

This protection applies regardless of whether you are an employee, customer contractor, supplier, or member of public. If you believe you have experienced retaliation for making a report, you should immediately inform the investigation team via "my report status" section or file a new report. Any retaliation will be treated as a serious breach of our Speak Up policy.

Is the toll-free telephone hotline confidential too?

˅

Yes. During the call, you will be asked to provide the same information that you would supply through the online reporting form. A trained interviewer will record your response directly into the database on your behalf.

The same rigorous standards of security and confidentiality apply to telephone reports as to online form submissions.

Am I personally at risk if someone makes unfounded allegations against me?

˅

All complaints that are submitted (worldwide) via JET's Speak Up hotline are investigated thoroughly and with due care to determine whether the allegations are substantiated. Action will only be taken if an allegation proves to be justified. If you have been named in a report, you do not need to worry about facing consequences if the allegations are unfounded.

What will happen if I am the subject of a report?

˅

Please refer to the Speak Up Policy for further information.

What will happen if I am the reporter?

˅

You will receive updates on your report through the communications channel. Whilst we cannot always disclose specific outcomes or disciplinary measures taken, we will inform you whether your report was substantiated, unsubstantiated, or partly substantiated/unsubstantiated.

What number do I call to report an incident?

˅

Please see the local toll-free numbers published on JET's Speak Up website or select your country from the drop down menu at the report by phone section. Selection of your country will indicate the toll- free number.

Will phone calls be recorded by an answering machine? Will my voice be identified?

˅

No. JET's Speak Up hotline is staffed by trained communications specialists who will conduct interviews and document your report. All calls are handled by real people, there are no automated voice systems or call recordings. Your telephone number will not be captured through Caller ID Screening, helping to protect your anonymity if you choose not to identify yourself.

Will phone calls made to the call center be monitored? Can my phone number be identified?

˅

Incoming calls are identified only by country of origin. This allows our communications specialists to greet you in your local language and access the appropriate reporting form. No caller identification systems are connected to the hotline, and your call will not be screened. This ensures that your privacy is protected.

What if I remember something important about the incident after I have filed the report? Or what if the company has further questions for me about my report?

˅

When you file an (anonymous) report via JET's Speak Up hotline, you will receive a unique username and choose a password. You can revisit your submission via the website or by telephone to view your original report, add details, and respond to questions from JET. We strongly recommend returning within the specified time to answer any questions. You and the designated investigator communicate via " anonymous dialogue", which will enable the matter to be resolved, no matter how complex it is.

All correspondence is treated with the same strict confidentiality as the initial report, preserving complete anonymity.

I do not speak English. Can I expect to be answered in my local language?

˅

Yes. English is the primary language and is available to all callers. Other language requirements are met through a professional translation service, which will be engaged shortly after your greeting. We have local language support for all countries where JET has operations.

You can submit your report through the Speak Up hotline in your own local language.
