FAQ

Who operates and who can use the MAM Escalation Hotline?

MAM has engaged NAVEX EthicsPoint, which is a third-party hotline service that allows MAM portfolio company staff to report their concerns in relation to senior management.

All reports submitted via the MAM Escalation Hotline are sent to MAM Risk, an independent function within MAM, for review and investigation as appropriate.

Can I report a concern anonymously?

Yes. You have the option to make a report and follow it up anonymously. If you are making a report online, answer ‘yes’ to the question, ‘Do you want to remain ANONYMOUS for this report?’.

Take care that other information you provide does not identify you. Additionally, if you choose to remain anonymous, MAM will not try to discover your identity.

Please note that, in some cases, not knowing your identity can have an impact on the investigation and it may also be difficult to offer you the same level of practical support.

When should I use the MAM Escalation Hotline?

We encourage you to report your concern directly with your employer (the portfolio company) such as your direct manager or HR team in the first instance. Following this, if you continue to feel that the matter has not been adequately addressed, the MAM Escalation Hotline is available to report your concern.

What can I report through the MAM Escalation Hotline?

The MAM Escalation Hotline can be used for reporting concerns in relation to senior management misconduct such as Appropriate Workplace Behavior; Business Integrity; Accounting, Auditing and Financial Reporting; Misuse, Misappropriation of Corporate Assets; Environment, Health and Safety.

The MAM Escalation Hotline should not be used for any concerns that include personal grievances, i.e. a conflict between you (portfolio company staff) and your employer (the MAM portfolio company), unless that grievance relates to detriment suffered by you because you have raised a concern about improper conduct.

The MAM Escalation Hotline is not an emergency service. Portfolio company staff should escalate security incidents to their employer contact in the first instance. If you require emergency assistance, please contact your local emergency services.

What information should I include in my report?

You should provide as much information as you have, as soon as possible, as this will enable a more efficient and productive investigation.

What happens when I report a concern?

Once you have made a report through the MAM Escalation Hotline, MAM Risk will be notified and receive a copy of the report.

MAM will review the report and, where appropriate, conduct an investigation. MAM may contact you via the MAM Escalation Hotline to ask questions, provide updates and/or arrange a time to speak.

Can I amend or update a report after it has been submitted?

You can add information to your report. When you submit a report, you will be issued with a Report Key, and you will be asked to select a password. You will be asked to keep this information safe to enable you to return to the MAM Escalation Hotline through the website to answer any follow up questions, submit more information, and/or receive updates.

What do I do if I forget my Report Key and/or password?

If you forget your Report Key and/or your password, you will need to submit a new report referencing your previous report.
