Six things you need to know about Speak Up

• What is Speak Up?

Speak Up is a safe place where all stakeholders of the Asahi Group can raise concerns about a suspected misconduct in relation to the Asahi Group anytime and anywhere. Speak Up is managed by Asahi Group Holdings' compliance organization and all concerns will be acted upon in accordance with the Asahi Speak Up Policy and any local addendums or local internal regulations.

• How do I report a concern?

You can report a concern either online via web or mobile, or through telephone hotlines, in multiple languages. If you are an employee, you may also report your concern to your line manager, the Human Resources team, the Legal team or anyone permitted to receive a report under the Asahi Speak Up Policy or any local addendums or local internal regulations.

• What happens after I report a concern?

Your report will be promptly and thoroughly reviewed by the Asahi Group’s investigation team who will determine further actions, including referral for investigation. Investigations will be conducted independently, fairly and objectively in accordance with the Asahi Group Basic Principles on Whistleblowing Investigation and any local internal regulations.

• Commitment to non-retaliation

We do not tolerate retaliation in any form. Any acts of reprisal against those who raise a concern, assist, or provide information during an investigation, or otherwise act in good faith in the best interests of Asahi Group will constitute a breach of our Code of Conduct and will be treated as a disciplinary matter.

• Commitment to anonymity and confidentiality

We will handle all reports including your identity, the identity of other participants in the investigations, and any other information that could lead to identification, in a confidential and sensitive manner, if not otherwise required by law. You can choose to identify yourself or make the report anonymously. However, we encourage you to share your identity when making a report, as it enables us to investigate the report more effectively.

• Who administers the Speak Up web portal and hotline reporting process?

The Speak Up website and hotline are administered by an independent company, NAVEX. This website is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The hotline is toll-free and can accommodate calls in more than 30 languages.
