Our Commitment

At NSK, we are committed to an open and honest environment where everyone has the confidence to ask questions or raise concerns. Our Code of Ethics contains a set of principles: Fair, Honest, Respectful, Loyal and Responsible, designed to guide each of us if we are faced with a difficult situation or a conflict and we are not sure what to do. We all share a responsibility to speak up if we are not sure how to act or if we believe something is not right. Speaking up is important as it protects you, your colleagues and NSK. If you're unsure about something you have seen or heard; or you're considering whether a decision or any action may be unethical, we ask you to STOP, THINK and ASK YOURSELF:

  • Does it feel right?
  • Is it lawful?
  • Would my actions be consistent with NSK's policies and our values?
  • Would I want to be treated this way?
  • How would I feel if someone did this to me?
  • Would I be embarrassed if others knew what I had done?
  • Would I have acted in good conscience and be prepared to explain my actions?
  • Do I need to find out more information to make this decision?
  • Do I need to seek guidance before committing to a course of action?

We want you to feel comfortable to approach your supervisor or management in instances where you believe violations of our Code of Ethics, or our policies or standards have occurred. In situations where you prefer to place a report in confidence, we encourage you to use the Ethics Line, hosted by an independent third party hotline provider, NAVEX.

The information you provide will be sent to us by NAVEX on a totally confidential or anonymous (if your local law permits) basis if you should choose. You have our guarantee that your comments will be heard.

We thank you for your commitment to our Code of Ethics and for maintaining the highest standards in everything we do.

See the Ethics Line FAQs for more information.

To Make a Report

After you complete your report you will be assigned a unique code called a "report key." Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. After 5-6 business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.
