If you provide your name when you report your concern, the TITAN Group assigned committee will be able to better follow up and further investigate it. So, we encourage you to do so. However, you have the option to report your concern anonymously. In both cases, the reports carry the same importance and are treated with the same, high level of confidentiality.
There is a section in the report where you can provide your name, telephone and e-mail if you wish.
EthicsPoint does not generate or maintain any internal connection logs with IP addresses, so there is no information linking your PC to EthicsPoint. In fact, EthicsPoint is contractually committed not to pursue a reporter’s identity.
If you feel uncomfortable filing a report on your work PC, you have the option of using a PC outside our work environment (such as your personal computer, one located at an Internet café or at a friend’s house, etc.) through the EthicsPoint secure portal. Many people choose this option, as EthicsPoints’ data shows that fewer than 12% of reports are generated during business hours.
A report from any computer - your work or home computer, a neighbor’s or a public computer - will remain secure and anonymous. An Internet portal never identifies a visitor by screen name and the EthicsPoint platform strips away Internet addresses so that anonymity is secured. Plus, NAVEX is contractually committed not to pursue a reporter’s identity.
The EthicsPoint portal is designed to protect your anonymity. However, if you wish to remain anonymous, you - as a reporting party - need to ensure that you do not provide details at the report, which could reveal your identity by accident. For example, “From my office next to Jan Smith…” or “In my 33 years in the company…”.
Yes. You will be asked to provide the same information that you would provide in an Internet-based report and a NAVEX interviewer will type your responses into the EthicsPoint portal. These reports have the same security and confidentiality measures applied to them during delivery.
