Raise Your Concern:
Provide as much detailed information as possible (i.e., who, what, when, where, and how). You will be assigned a unique code called a Report Key and you will create a password. Keep these credentials safe and use them to return to the FMC Ethics Response Line to respond to questions and review feedback. After submitting your concern, you will receive a response confirming receipt.
Conduct Initial Assessment:
All concerns are reviewed by the FMC Ethics Office and, where appropriate, an investigator is assigned. The investigator may contact you. If you’ve submitted your concern anonymously, they will communicate with you through the FMC Ethics Response Line portal as they have no other way to contact you.
Conduct Investigation:
The investigator conducts an investigation in accordance with FMC’s internal policies and procedures, which could include a review of documents and interviews. Information is kept confidential by FMC and will be shared only with those on a need-to-know basis.
Report Investigation Outcome:
Upon completion of an investigation, corrective action, if appropriate, is taken. You may not know if (or what) corrective action followed the investigation.
Investigations are often complex and take time to complete. FMC prohibits retaliation of any kind against a reporter who, in good faith, reports a suspected violation of the Code.
