You should raise concerns about the following issues:
- Fraud
- Harassment or Discrimination
- Respectful Workplace & Inappropriate Behaviour
- Theft
- Violence
- Along with any other violations to the CPC Ethics Policy
- Will I remain anonymous?
Yes, if you request to remain anonymous when making your report, we will respect your request. However, when an anonymous complaint is received, where possible and necessary, the complainant will be made aware that their anonymity will be maintained, however, their unwillingness to reveal their identity may hinder CPC’s ability to investigate the matter.
- How do I follow-up?
After you complete your report you will be assigned a unique code called a “report key”. After 4-5 business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or questions.
- Can I ask for guidance on a personal circumstance or self-disclose a potential violation?
Yes, on both accounts. Being proactive by requesting guidance to avoid potential issues is strongly encouraged. If you believe a perceived or actual conflict already exists, you are required to self-disclose. Either situation can be managed through EthicsPoint. Simply select the Ask a Question Online option, select your location and complete the form.
Capital Power will not allow or pursue retaliation of any kind against any individual who reports a violation or ethical concern. No individual will be threatened (either overtly or impliedly) or adversely affected by retaliation or retribution, because of a concern or complaint, participation in an investigation into a complaint or refusal to engage in unethical behavior.
All reports and complaints are expected to be made in good faith. Deliberately making false complaints will be considered a violation of the Ethics Policy and will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
