At Dowlais, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of business conduct and we expect all our employees and workers to conduct themselves in accordance with our values and the requirements of Our Code. In order to maintain these standards, it is important that if things go wrong, employees and others speak up and bring issues to our attention so that we can address them appropriately. We therefore encourage a culture of ‘Speaking Up’.

This portal is for use by employees and workers of Dowlais, and our businesses, GKN Automotive, GKN Powder Metallurgy and GKN Hydrogen to report issues of concern relating to our business. This includes any actual or suspected breach of law or regulation; health, safety or environmental concerns; financial irregularities; unethical behaviour or breach of policy.

All reports will be handled in accordance with our Whistleblowing Policy, or the equivalent policy of the business unit in which you work. As an employee or worker of Dowlais or our businesses, you are encouraged to disclose concerns as soon as possible after you become aware of the issue in question. Early disclosure will help to ensure that any problems are resolved as quickly as possible, and allow full and accurate investigations to take place. You should feel free to raise any concerns with your line manager, which can be done verbally or in writing. In many cases line managers may be able to resolve concerns quickly and effectively. In some cases, they may refer the matter to another more appropriate person. However, if the matter is more serious, or you feel that your line manager cannot or has not addressed their concern, or you prefer not to raise it with their line manager for any reason, you are encouraged to use this hotline, which hosted by a third-party hotline provider, EthicsPoint. The information you provide will be sent to us by EthicsPoint on a totally confidential and anonymous basis if you should choose.
